Kate Mitchell is hosting a IQ "retreat" sort of on Oct. 19th and 20th when I'll be in the NY area for an installation. She asked for interested in this over on the Yahoo list. If you're like me, the yahoo list seems to have gotten a little busy and I can't keep up with it LOL.... Kate lives in the Albany, NY area and has a beautiful vacation home they rent available for the housing. It should be a lot of fun with what she has planed. She had a quilting retreat with 8 women not to long ago and she said it worked out well. If you don't know about Kate, you can read about her over at http://www.berkshirequilts.com/
I'll teach whatever anyone needs me to but the neat thing about this is that Kate (a pattern designer) is talking about one day of sewing a mystery quilt and then the next day we'll go to the IQ with ideas, tips and anything else you want to see. We'll all be staying under the same roof so we can share all night long if necessary LOL... I'll actually be sewing this mystery quilt with the IQ and you'll be seeing things along the way. I plan on going over some of the newer features but I can't go to much into my trapunto technique as I will also be teaching at MQX and am under contract not to teach that until the show.
If you're interested, we need to know asap. She only can really hold 8 people. We're looking for 4 minimum and 6 would be ideal.
Thanks,
Linda Lawson
